Maintenance Log Book does not collect any of your data.
The short version
Maintenance Log Book does not collect any of your data. Your records are stored on your device and, if iCloud sync is on, in your own iCloud account, where WaresHQ cannot read them. There is no account with us, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party code of any kind.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter (items, intervals, service history, meter readings, part details, photos, and settings) is stored in the app's own container on your device. It is included in your device backups if you have those turned on, under your control and Apple's backup terms.
Nothing is sent to WaresHQ. We have no server that could receive it.
iCloud sync
iCloud sync is part of Pro, and is enabled once Pro is unlocked. With it on, the app mirrors its records to the private iCloud database of the Apple ID signed in on the device, using Apple's CloudKit. That database belongs to you. WaresHQ has no access to it and cannot read, list, or recover its contents. You can turn sync off in the app's Settings, and remove the data from iCloud under your device's iCloud settings. Apple's iCloud terms apply to that storage. Deleting a record in the app removes it from every device using that account, and signing out of iCloud on a device clears that device's synced copy while iCloud keeps it.
Purchases
The optional Logbook Pro unlock is handled by Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment and tells the app whether the purchase is active. WaresHQ never sees your payment details or your Apple ID.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily digest, the app schedules reminders locally on your device. No push notification service is involved.
Import and export
Files you import are read once from where you chose them and never uploaded. Export writes a folder to the location you choose in the Files app; if that location is a cloud folder, that is your choice and your provider's terms apply.
Children
The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date. The app collects nothing, so a change here would be to the wording rather than to what is collected.
