How it works
No account, and the records stay yours
Records are stored on the device, and in your own iCloud with Pro. There is no login to expire and no server of ours holding them, so nothing on our side can lose your history or reset your dates. Export is available at any time, free.
Part numbers and sizes live on the interval
Each interval stores the size, model or part number the job takes, along with a photo of the part being replaced. Furnace filter 20x25x1, oil filter part number, wiper blade length. The detail is recorded against the job rather than left to memory.
Intervals count from the last completed service
By elapsed time, by distance in miles or kilometres, or by engine hours. A calendar repeat fires on schedule whether or not the work was done; these do not advance until the job is logged.
Estimates are labelled as estimates
A phone cannot read an odometer. Distance and hour intervals are projected from the readings you enter and are shown as projections, and the app asks for a current reading rather than presenting a guess as a due date.
CSV import, previewed before it is written
Import a CSV export from a previous app. Common vehicle-log layouts are recognised as they are; anything else goes through a column mapper. The full result is shown before a single record is written, and re-importing the same file makes no changes.
One notification a day, at most
A single morning digest listing what is overdue and what falls due this week. There are no other notifications.

Free and Pro
The free tier has no time limit and no advertising: up to three items, intervals, templates, reminders, the small widget, the full import preview, and export of everything in every format.
Logbook Pro is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription: unlimited items, iCloud sync, photos, the medium and lock screen widgets, imports of any size, eight themes and nine app icons.

Email support at wareshq dot com. Include your iOS version, the app version from Settings, and what you were doing when the problem occurred. If it is an import problem, attach the CSV if you are willing to: the app never uploads it, so that file is the only way we can reproduce the fault.
Questions
Where are my records stored?
On the device, in the app's own container, and in your own iCloud if sync is enabled. Nothing is sent to us. We operate no server that could receive it.
How do I move to a new phone?
With Pro and iCloud sync enabled, sign in to the same Apple ID and open the app. Without sync, restore from a device backup, or export from the old phone and import the folder on the new one.
How do I get my data out?
Settings, then Export. It writes a folder to a location you choose in the Files app. Export is free in every version and every tier.
Why does a due date say "estimate"?
Because the app cannot read your odometer. Distance and hour intervals are projected from the readings you have entered. Logging a current reading narrows the projection.
Privacy: Logbook collects no data. The only network traffic is your own iCloud, which can be turned off. Read the privacy policy.
